NAD+

How do I receive my treatments?

If you order single injections or infusions, they are administered in our office by staff.

If you order NAD+ by the month, at your first appointment you will receive:

- Education on self-administering your doses at home, with the first dose administered in the office.

- 3 pre-filled syringes for self-administration at home (1-2 times per week).

- The syringes must be refrigerated until use

If you have the medication sent directly to your home from the pharmacy, you must mix and draw up the medication yourself in syringes provided. Instructions are provided in the package.

* Home delivery by clinical staff of your pre-filled medication is available for a $50 surcharge

How do I receive my treatments?

-Three more syringes of your once-weekly medications, pre-filled with your indicated dose of medication, to be kept refrigerated until use.

You will give yourself the injections at home once to twice weekly, depending on how you feel.

If you have the medication sent directly to your home, keep in mind you must dose the medication yourself in syringes provided.

* Home delivery by clinical staff of your pre-filled medication is available for a $50 surcharge

What are the side effects of NAD+?

Possible side effects include but are not limited to:

Abdominal cramping, "rush" feeling, chest tightness, lightheadedness. These symptoms are not dangerous and last only five to ten minutes after an injection. If they occur during an IV infusion, the infusion is slowed or medications can be provided for symptomatic relief.

Rare but serious complications include but are not limited to:

Hypersensitivity Reaction and Anaphylaxis. Other possible long term effects are unknown.

How do I renew my monthly subscription?

Mid-month you will receive an email from our staff checking in on your progress. At that time you can change how you would like to receive your medication or schedule your office visit to receive your pre-filled syringes (for any monthly plan).

If you prefer individual injections or infusions, those can be scheduled during regular office hours.

Do I need to throw away extra medication? Is it safe to keep my vial for months to spread out the medication?

It is standard medical practice that ALL medications from a multi-dose vial (any vial that is punctured more than once) MUST be discarded after 30 days due to risk of medication degradation and bacterial infection. Any prefilled syringes from Initium must be discarded at 30 days and any vials from the pharmacy must be discarded 30 days after your first dose is withdrawn from the vial.

DOSING PROTOCOL

Dosing recommendations vary depending on treatment goals, but a typical maintenance regimen would be one to two 100mg injection(s) weekly.

Performance athletes often report improved endurance and faster recovery with higher dose infusions (250mg-500mg) around the time of their events, and treating cravings during recovery from Substance Use Disorder or some inflammatory conditions may also require higher doses, or start with an IV dose.
